Minnesota Reconciling Congregations

Annual Gathering

Saturday, April 29, 2023

Methodists are all about making connections and working for social justice.  It is good to gather with others to share our vision, keep connections alive and recharge for the work ahead. We can do this by coming together for the Minnesota Reconciling Congregations Spring Social Gathering on

Saturday, April 29

11:30-2:30

Spirit of Hope UMC, 7600 Harold Ave., Golden Valley.

It’s been four years since we were able to gather for a potluck lunch and program, much has changed during that time, including the addition of numerous non-metro Reconciling Congregations.  We hope that many of the outstate congregations will also host a gathering on the 29th – we’ll share that information as it becomes available.

In addition to social time and a potluck lunch, author and theologian Austen Hartke (he, him) will share his experience coming out as a transgender Christian, from his childhood in non-affirming churches to his years in seminary, and now as an educator for faith communities worldwide. This portion of the gathering will be available for those not at Spirit of Hope to view.

We hope you are able to attend this important gathering!  If you have questions, please email minnesotareconciling@gmail.com
